Happening right now, till the 6th of May, is an exhibition of handprinted posters in the heart of Leeds. The show is taking place on the 3rd floor of ‘THE GALLERY At Flannels’, right next to the Leeds City College, in conjunction with The Leeds International Artists Book Fair. Curated by the super helpful Tony Baker, a lecturer at the college, the show boasts an exciting (international) range of limited edition collectables – and, thanks to some thorough promotion, should get a great amount of viewers passing through – grand job Tony sir!.
Presented along with handprinted posters by his students are examples of work by friends, Nick Rhodes, Horse, Cameron Steward, Luke Drozd, Graham Pilling and We Three Club…
also featured are pieces by the fabulous Mara Piccione, Hatch Show Prints, Dots Printhaus, Tom Lacey, Jacknife and yes, Petting Zoo Prints & Collectables (woop!)
It really looks like a smart affair and I gather that the opening last Saturday was a storming success – all prints are for sale I believe… so if you are nearby, swing by!
And here is a screenshot of that very poster, yet another we have been too busy to document here on the blog till now *wrist-smack*
