A massive thank you goes out to the staff at The Fortune Of War for being so cool and helping us out with our market stall this summer – they really are an incredibly friendly bunch and its been a pleasure getting to know everyone there over the past few months.
As a token of gratitude the Zoo has designed and printed these limited edition posters inspired by the cool vintage travel destination posters behind the bar upstairs (there was a definite nod to the ad layouts in oldschool Playboy mags actually – though we should definitely make a point respectfully that the ‘hostess’ on our print was meant to be sassy and fun, not a saucy dollybird).
These were given by the very cool management to each member of the team and the remainder are available from us (firstname.lastname@example.org) or at the bar itself at just £20 unframed – its still unconfirmed how much framed pieces will be sold for.
Do check out the bar if ever you’re over this way, it is a genuine slice of beach life and pretty mellow during the week with a lot of life in the evenings and weekends – the strange structure that can be seen through the Fortune’s distinctive seated windows is the old broken down West Pier (just in case any stray out-of-towners were puzzled).
Thats’s enough blogging for now – off for a pint, peace!
