Hello world!

Ok so the new family of toucans have nested, the giraffes have settled into their new home and we’ve finally got the iguanas to stop squabbling over the nintendo… time to finally get the Petting Zoo blog on the go!

Let’s not edit this post’s title – it fits. In fact while the introductions are under way let us firstly say that from here on in punctuation may degrade to dots… and dashes – like that. It seems to be the way busy zookeepers find themselves typing more and more – it’s to keep zoo-poo off the keyboard you see.

Secondly we’d like to say that whilst posting about all the fun additions as they arrive here and notifying you of new features etcetera, we will also post backdated entries that should fill in some of the significant things that happened in the past… especially this year which has been particularly productive!

Right well – time to work out how cutemize the graphics on this here thing… thanks for reading, do follow us or bookmark or whatever it is, there’s no tweeting going on just yet – aside from the streamertails and kittiwakes of course.

WELCOME TO THE ZOO! please mind your fingers
